Creatives are the healers of our world.

They heal by seeing all of the things everyone else does not see. They reflect back these things in our world precisely so we can heal. Sometimes it's showing us beauty to remind us all that it exists; sometimes it's a painful circumstance so we can face it and deal with it directly. But the goal and the purpose is inner healing, is the healing of our interconnected being.

Like the fact that we cannot see our own faces without a mirror, art and creative output is that mirror for our collective being. It reflects back the face of our humanity to us.

"In the particular lies the universal" is the principle that guides creative work. We tell our stories, share our perspectives, and they act as sparks in others for greater understanding of our shared and undeniable humanity.
